\nWe kept meeting the same quiet worry in parents: the fear that a number was about to decide their child's future. It isn't. \nBetween us we've marked the assessments, coordinated the subjects, supported thousands of students and families, run the school, and worried at our own kitchen tables. We kept meeting the same fear and worry in parents and people early in their career: that a number somehow decides their child's, or their own, path.\n<\/div>
